Charles Randolph-Wrightdirects Motown, which is brimming with songs made famous by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Marvin Gaye,Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five. It officially opened on Broadway April 14, 2013.
The national tour recently extended its Chicago run through Aug. 9.
Motown also features Nicholas Christopher as Smokey Robinson and Jarran Muse as Marvin Gaye. Leon Outlaw, Jr. and Reed L. Shannon portray Berry Gordy’s boyhood counterpart and the roles of young stars Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
